Keeping its tradition of traveling out of the United States every four years, SHOT2019 will be held in Europe, in Milan. For historians of technology, the annual meeting of the Society for the History of Technology is a privileged space to keep abreast of developments in the field and to explore new trends and topics of research. As proposed by Pascal Griset and Leonard Laborie, InsSciDE will organize a roundtable at the conference on the topic of techno-scientific diplomacy. Work Package Leaders Maria Paula Diogo (WP3), Alexander Pruss (WP4), and David Burigana (WP8) will be discussants at the round table and other members of InsSciDE will be involved in sessions on related topics. With a presence at SHOT, InsSciDE aims to raise interest in science diplomacy among European and American historians of technology, and to extend the network of contacts, and thereby enlarge the range of information useful to the project’s research. The event will take place at the Conference Center Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan, Italy, on 24-27 October. The Conference program and registration form will be available in the first week of June and can be found on the SHOT website
