Tensions of Europe: Technological Pasts in the Digital Age

The 9th biannual Tensions of Europe Conference, organized by the Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH), will be hosted by the University of Luxembourg in Luxembourg City on 27-30 June. The theme of the conference is ‘Decoding Europe: Technological Pasts in the Digital Age’ and sessions will investigate the impact of digitalization on historical developments and the consequences of the digital turn on the writing and shaping of European History. InsSciDE’s Katerina Vlantoni, expert in WP5 (Health), will present her paper “Health diplomacy perspectives in the history of setting blood safety standards and adopting digital-molecular technologies”, which covers her ongoing research on the role of international organizations in standard-setting processes in the field of transfusion medicine.
